Genetically Modifying

Not many people know that Duetaria was the first place in the world to have genetically modified a tutle, an electric monk, a penguin, a black cat, a strange floating eye, a snow rabbit, a julia sawalha, a lesser spotted trumper and a snow leopard.

This is not only an achievement but a scientific breakthrough.

"This genetic modification has gone on too long! I want it banned for the sake of humanity. Not only is it an affront to God by changing his designs but also can't you see form a scientific view that it is a threat to our existence. Making other beings more superior would threaten our survival."
Jones carefully stands down form the podium un-harmed to the applause of all the religious men in the room from each delegation, well not the High Priests of Hjfd but lets not talk about THEM.
Field Marshall Henry Sling takes the podium, he won his reputation in the battle for the Capital of Alexioplos, fighting on the front line even though a Field Marshall.
"I agree with my previous counterparts. This could be useful or it could be dangerous. However we do need to ask, could we use this as a weapon and could our enemies use it as a weapon against us?"
He stands down and as the last of the Karkelbanian representatives return to their seats, opinions unspoken and noses broken, all eyes turn to Professor Eleganta Bert

Genetically modifying is were you take the genes of something and add, take away or move some of them to make in theory a supreme thing to the one you started with.

At the moment we are trying to get funding from the Grand Council of Duetaria, if we get this we can extend our research which gives us the possibility of curing diseases.

In answer to you outburst, church man, we are not disobeying God merely doing what he wanted us to do, find out about the world by ourselves.

If we get funding, sir, we may be able to put our technology into weapons, yes, but it does require funding

This new report shows just how dangerous G.M. is, we do not fully understand the technollogy, if we invest in research rather than creating, I belive that it will be worth it, but until then I believe that all G.M. creating should be halted immediatly before any other abhorent accidents happen.

The issue is not whether we understand the technology, but if we can create armies of superhumans. Funding is needed, and the Federation of Telegram Operators is happy to contribute.

As I have already said, it is possible. With the right funding of course.

'Super Soldiers' is certainly an interesting idea, but how will the public take it surely, it is immoral

We in Karkelbania do not support the super soldiers motion upon reasons of sanity. If we create super soldiers they will turn on us and kill us!

You have been reading too many sci-fi things, people being over-run by their own creations- it's a cliche! Let's take an example of making people into super soldiers, the kaleds, now they all got prossesed into Daleks and conquered half of the universe! (though admittedly the Dlaeks then killed loads of Kaleds, but oh well, they ended up stronger)
But if we make super soldier outfits, like exo-skeletons that make a man 10 times stronger, and armour that protects from bullets and nuclear fall-outs, we could still have super soldiers, but just not mess with the morals of genetic super soldiers.

This is a good time, however not fully possible at the moment. (referring to the fall out proof armour)

if we experiment with genetically modified ions and isotopes of lead that retain their radioactive resistant properties, but are light weight and not poisonous we could quite easily create these suits, all we need is the money for the research, we could even bond the lead to skin.

Ha my super soldiers cannot turn against me, for their lifeblood is chicken sop, if they turn against me i shall no longer make it and only i and Hugh Fernly Whittingstall have the recepie, and the super soldiers have miniguns and rocket launers for hands, how could they make it themselves?
