King Wake I had been seeking to retire for some time and has begun upon the process of shifting power from the Monarchy to the people. In a gracious and popular political change Karkelbania has now become a Constitutional Monarchy and already new Parliament building is beginning construction.
Meanwhile the country’s first open and fair election has declared victory to the left wing Labetouran party and its charismatic leader Prime Minister Anthony Walex. The two largest parties in the opposition are the centre right Tories and the centre left Social and Democratic People;s party.

The PM made this statement:
“As of today Karkelbania will re-enter region politics. During the Time of Silence all of our nations drifted apart and there is much to tell of each other. We as the founder region wish to welcome the first of our new arrivals, the people of Montestan who conquered the Dictatorship of Evil Yams. I call all other nations who return to this once proud and now rather dusty and in need of repair Grand Council hall. Let us reopen the doors of the University, unlock the cabinet and celebrate in the coffee houses at our gleeful return!”
