Pure Karkelbania!

King Wake I sits in his extravagant state rooms. He sips a glass of Whiskey while preparing himself for the arrival of The Grand Duke of Ravenburg - Morovia who's plane is a few minutes away. Suddenly there is a knock at the door.
"Enter." The doors open as Gregory Heart the Home Minister enters looking distressed. "Ah Gregory, come in, would you like a drink?"
"Yes thank you sir." He pours himself a drink and downs it in one. "Sire I have grave news. We have to get the Grand Duke into protection as soon as he lands."
"Why Greg?"
"There has been a series of racially based uprisings around the country."
"The immigrants are trying to take over? Is it an invasion? Alejandrian prompted perhaps or.."
"Sir please. A group calling itself 'The defenders of Pure Karkelbania' has suddenly started hunting down and killing foreigners. The main target has been Morovians and Romardians. The current death toll is nearing 400 but it is likely to be much more. Morovian casualties make up about 60% of that. We have begun taking people into protection but the country is on the brink, the immigrant population makes up 47.5% of the country. These fascists could be plotting a take over. But that is speculation, we need to get the Grand Duke here as quickly as possible, he will be a prime target. I need your permission to use the Stealth crawler."
"Ah, ok, well we have to use it but he and his staff need to be blindfolded. Oh and use an unarmed one."
"Yes sir, of course."
"Bring him in here as soon as you have him. Oh and send some sort of message to the plane. And while you're at it evacuate all of the embassies in the country and bring them here."
"Yes sir." Heart leaves the room, but returns suddenly. "Sir might it be a good idea to bring up the 42nd?"
"I've already pressed the button underneath my desk Greg, now go!" As Heart leaves the 42nd Infantry (a regiment that comprises of only 35 souls and is made up of the best soldiers of the most elite regiments) grabbed their gear in their barracks two floors down and headed to the elevator that took them to the State rooms, ready to fulfill their function as the world's best trained and most successful body guards. The fact that they'll shoot a house fly if they think it threatens the King doesn't bother anyone.

A commotion was caused in Karkelbania when Grand Duke Henry I refused to wear a blindfold on his trip to King Wake's palatial residence.

"This was a blatant infringement of my decency as a monarch, and the violation of inter-regal rulers laws that fine politicians such as King Wake or Mr Heart should be holding sacrosanct," the grand duke commented at his monthly state dinner hosted by Grand Duchess Sophie Clementine at the Romardian Embassy, "However, despite no intention of pursuing this claim, I wish to ask my Royal Cousin of Karkelbania for a discreet apology."

The Cabinet ministers, among them Chancellor Mettenburg, wish King Wake well in pursuing 'The Pure of Karkelbania'. Secret Service Director Schiller said in a Press Release:

"We have been moved greatly by these acts of clandestine violence, and are already taking steps towards eradicating this grave threat to security and peace."

Alas, one Ravenburger-Morovian was not as lucky as his sovereign overlord on Tuesday. At 19:18 hours, junior minister at the Board of Control, Karl von Aretas, was shot twice in the head by sniper rifle in Alexkam, Karkelbania. Grand Duke Henry vows: "Karl shall be the last loyal Ravenburger to die at the hands of the nefarious 'pure' front of terrorists."

"He said what?" King Wake storms after hearing about the Grand Duke's comments. "Why the hell should we apologize? We had just saved his life and insisted fairly that he should not see our new technology! Heart!"
"Yes sir?"
"Prepare the Grand duke a party."
"I understand sir."
"Oh and where was it I had to sign for the other matter?"
"Here sir."
"Thank you."

At a meeting in Southern Karkelbania a high level office of 'The defenders of Pure Karkelbania' a group sit around a table. One stands up. "I have been in contact with the Leader and he is pleased with how our cell is working. However he wants us to make a high profile hit. I have already dispatched a team to blow up the Romardian embassy and we should here of their success any second now. Suddenly the doors and windows blow up and a team of Karkelbanian special forces bearing the new G6 40 (signed into use only 30 minutes ago by King Wake I) which brings on a temporary death like state at however it is fired at making them easier to detain. The group are swiftly overcome and once the building has been swept for devices, paperwork etc. KSF 4 plants the explosives.
KSF 1 desperately tries to contact the Romardian embassy but it is too late.

At the Romardian embassy the Karkelbanian Secret service stand guard. A short wiry looking man zips past them holding a pile of papers. Agent Jenkins turns to stop him but not quite fast enough, even the secret service have trouble with racist ex athletes. The Embassy is engulfed in flame.

Grand Duke Henry turns over, he is in the spare room as he has been having trouble sleeping after his near escape from Karkelbania. He wonders if he should have just accepted the blind fold but then again... that craft had been wonderful. He had told King Wake he wouldn't reveal any information about it but he had seen the doubt in his eyes. He chuckled when he thought how right he had been to worry his wife knew and he planned to tell his top scientists in the morning. We are allies but even allies steal from one another he thought. He turned over again thinking he must fall asleep soon to see the silenced pistol pointed at his face.
Henry was about to call out when the door opened and he saw his four door guards tied up outside, his wife was led in at gun point.
"Who the hell... 'The defenders of Pure Karkelbania'?!"
"Wrong." The voice was computerized and Henry noticed the odd device over his assailant's mouth, a voice scrambler.
"Well..." The man hit him with the gun. Henry felt his lip start bleeding. "You evil gutless.." The man with the gun on his wife pulled the trigger. "NO!" There was a quite click. The man put the gun a way and drew another.
He chuckled, "That one was empty how much are you willing to bet this one is?"
"What do you want?"
"You lied to King Wake, he's very disappointed. Don't ask how we know. You are not going to tell anyone else and your wife is going on a three week holiday in Selaw with the Grand Prince. She will come to no harm and will be free to roam the hall. However if you mention anything she will die and if you mention anything when she is returned after three weeks your wife will die, then your children will, then your staff and then you. We'll see you in three weeks." The man vanished into the night through the open window holding Henry's wife.

Journalists crowd around 12 Wayne Street in Mozio, Luschia. At last, Prime Minister John Hurt and Defence Minister Annette Bening emerge.

"We, the Luschian Government would like to announce our utter fury at the recent abduction of Grand Duchess Sophie Clementine," begins Hurt in gruff, authoritative tones, "and we also wish to inform the great King Wake of the Luschian army's attack on 'Pure Karkelbanian' HQ yesterday. The cell has been crushed, and Grand Duchess Sophie Clementine is now safe in Salich with His Highness the Grand Duke. Victory is ours!"

Cameras flash as Hurt and Bening wave to the throng; another triumph for Duetaria!

I, Grand Duke Henry I of Ravenburg-Morovia, hereby announce that the post from King Wake, implying that I planned to reveal scientific information concerning Karkelbanian technology to Ravenburger military personnel was a total misunderstanding. In fact, my lack of technological knowledge has meant that I was merely in awe of the great Stealth aeroplane! Thankfully, Sophie is returned to Salich, and Chancellor Mettenburg has raised security around the Grand Ducal Proto-Palace.

AN URGENT TELEGRAM FROM KARKELBNIA TO LUSCHIA

It would seem that 3 missiles have been launched form the 'Pure Karkelbania' heartland. They are of our military and were captured by a force of four hundred men last night. It is so far unconfirmed if they are Nuclear.

'Sire, what shall we do with the survivors?'
'I think we need to place them under 'protective arrest' Heart.'
'But sir who...'
'No, we need to question them. Don't let this get out oh and don't torture them Heart please. Well not yet anyway.'

My Government is glad that our gubernatorial colleagues in Karkelbania have taken a firm line on 'Pure Karkelbania'. It is now the wish of the World Assembly Delegate State that four constituent nations of Duetaria assemble an Expeditionary Force, under the overall command of Field Marshal Sir Christopher Lee, that will invade the terrorist 'heartland'.

The constituent states required to contribute to the aforementioned Duetarian Expeditionary Force (DEF) are:
1. Ravenburg-Morovia
2. Karkelbania
3. Luschia
4. Gracania

It is expected that the DEF will number up to 290,000 soldiers; 6000 tanks and armoured vehicles; and 2000 aeroplanes.

We urge Luschian officials to evacuate the southern end of their country as the Nuclear missile will hit in about 45 minutes, there will be no stopping it, it will hit.

The Luschian states, or provinces, of Elsatia and Carolinia have been evacuated. Luckily, in addition to this, General Lord Kilgore has put Strategic Interglobal Defence Unit (SIGDU) into operation. We hope that the missiles can be shot down."

Many sighs of relief greet this pronouncement.

"Sir this just arrived." A corporal enters the room holding a telegram, he hands it to Rush who begins to read.

A Terrorist Cell operating in conjunction with 'Pure Karkelbania' was found by surveillance teams yesterday. A special task force of one hundred and fifty paratroopers from the SAT (Strategic Assault Team) attacked the cell, situated on the East Bank of the River Slovona, at 17:09 today. After one hour and ten minutes of fierce firefighting, the cell was destroyed.
