WA Delegate Empty WA Delegate

Post by President Shortman Sun Mar 16, 2008 3:43 pm

I, President Shortman of the Republic of Potatoe Farmers, believe that this region could be great, it could be one of the largest most powerful regions in not just the WA but the World! But this is only possible if we can get a strong foothold in the WA. To do this we will need a strong WA Delegate. This should be me. I can bring peace to this dangerous region, trade to its empty markets, I can lead Duetaria to greatness! If, like me, you want to live in a great region of peace, trade and prosperity vote me as your WA Delegate!

Thankyou for supporting the Potatoe campaign, great, noble and wise people of Duetaria!

WA Delegate Empty Re: WA Delegate

Post by Prime Minister Walex Sun Mar 16, 2008 3:48 pm

A man stands up from the front row of the audience.
"Sir, I am Gregory Heart, Foreign Minister of Karkelbania. I applaud your brave comments on our nation's future but I have two questions for you.
Do you feel that our past is as important as our present and do you think that a Delegate should serve the people or rule the people? Thank you."
Heart sits down and begins to whisper into the ear of an aide.

Post by President Shortman Sun Mar 16, 2008 9:37 pm

To your first question yes I think it is important for the citizens of Duetaria to learn about the past of their home, but I also think that we should not live in the past otherwise it could obstruct the future.

And to your second question I do not believe that the WA delegate should rule their people but they should still be firm and authoritative to get their message across and to get things done for the people.

Gregory Heart scribbles frantically in a note book and without looking up says.
"Thank you sir, that answer is most useful to my decision."

A random man from Pork Village stands up and says, "Hey, wouldn't it just be much simpler if Duetaria was run by a Dictator. Then there would be no arguments!

What is the point of debating over who should be WA delegate, when Karkelbania forces you to endorse Ravenburg-Morovia? We should be able to endorse who we choose!

We debated and chose Ravenburg - Morovia and so all nations are obliged to endorse them. If you want to become delegate create a thread and state your reasons.

But if we had a free vote, the WA delegate would still be who the majority chooses!

I agree, we shouldn't have to endorse them. I think you have been too forceful about it and the trade alliance will remove themselves from Duetaria if you are so forceful again causing the economies to collapse.

You obviously do not understand. We have an election on the forums and then the winner receives endorsements from all countries so as to maximize their power in the WA.

WA Delegate Empty To Clarify the WA Situation

Post by Grand Duke Henry Tue Apr 22, 2008 9:43 pm

My Government takes grave offence at the suggestions by certain honourable gentlemen that this nation has been undemocratically chosen as World Assembly Delegate State. Furthermore, we are prepared to fight a second General Election so that we can prove our democratic methods of just government to Duetaria.

We shall not return to the dictatorial regimes of The Grand Coalition of Siberia and Alexiopolos. There will be an election!

WA Delegate Empty WA Delegate

Post by Prince Leopold Maximilian Tue Apr 22, 2008 11:48 pm

The newest arrivals, the delegation of Darmsburg-Gotha, have remained silent for two days. Now, Premier Eulenburg rises.

"There is no doubt in my mind: only Ravenburg-Morovia can hope to guid our region through these darkest of times. They carry true international diplomatic weight, and have the finest record of reform in Duetaria! The future lies with Ravenburg-Morovia ruling hand in hand with the mighty Karkelbania!"

WA Delegate Empty In Reply to Darmsburger Post Protestation

Post by Grand Duke Henry Sat Apr 26, 2008 1:18 am

In response to a perfectly benign post issued by Fritz von Eulenburg, Premier of Darmsburg-Gotha, there was this response.

King Wake's representatives wrote: Sir this is not the time or place, please do not cross the boundaries again or thou shalt be reprimanded!

Precisely why, out of interest, was the Darmsburger post "not [issued in] the time or place"?
